Residential & Educational Services

We offer intensive residential treatment and educational services at four Gammon Academy campuses in New Hampshire with varying levels of supports for youth ages 5 to 21. In-home services are also available.

Continuum of Care

Easterseals NH’s continuum of care ranges from the most restrictive facility-based program at Gammon Academy at Zachary Road in Manchester to an Individual Service Option Program, often offered in the family home. Together, our Residential & Educational programs give children and families longer-term consistency and stability while providing a range of options for treatment and advocacy. Our in-house network of care is flexible and comprehensive, allowing children to move between levels of care, including the family home, without the added stress of transitioning to a different care provider or a hospital setting.

Philosophy

The philosophy of the Easterseals NH’s Residential & Educational Services program is to provide the highest quality, treatment-oriented services to youth and their families through family-driven, youth-guided, and trauma-informed care. Treatment is highly structured through individualized counseling and instruction, clinically driven groups, treatment, and transition planning. We assist youth in becoming as independent as possible. Some children are not able to be entirely independent as a result of their disabilities. In that case, we teach them the skills to live as independently as possible in the least restrictive setting.

Gammon Academy Lancaster

Gammon Academy at Lancaster

This is a small satellite program in Coos County. As with the Manchester programs, it is co-located with a residential treatment program. This small school works to be a flexible resource for local communities, as there are limited options for students in this region. This on-site school is only able to enroll students in grades 5 through 12.

Individual Service Options (ISO)

Solutions that keep youth at home or return them to the family home whenever possible. State-certified services are provided at home, in a state-licensed provider home, in a staffed apartment, in a roommate model, or in a semi-independent living arrangement.

Gammon Academy New School

Easterseals NH is embarking on building a new purpose-built school for its Manchester-based residential education programs on its Zachary Road campus.
